Bassetts Farm Primary School

Welcome, we look forward to seeing you in September 2026.  

A warm welcome to all our new Reception children and their families! We are delighted that you will be joining the Reception class at Bassetts Farm Primary School. On this page you will find some information  to help you settle into Bassetts School. We will be adding information over the coming weeks.

We know that starting school is a big step and that you will have lots of questions as your child start on this adventure. 

Our Classes and Classrooms

Within Reception, the children work and play together as a unit. In Reception we have 2 classes: Poppies and Sunflowers. Both classes work together and during discovery times and playtimes are learning together within the unit.

Key Dates: 

Monday 18^th May – Please ensure that you have returned all forms

Wednesday 10^th June at 9.05 am - information meeting about starting school and arranging individual visits.

Wednesday 24^th June pm - Story time and Teddy Bear’s Snack. Please bring a cuddly toy - It is likely that we will be running two visits during the afternoon. Your child’s time to be confirmed at the meeting on 10^th June.

Wednesday 1^st July pm - The children will spend time in their new Reception class. School uniform does not need to be worn. Time to be confirmed at the meeting on 10^th June.

Meet the teacher 15^th – 16^th July - We will arrange an individual visit time, with you at the meeting on Wednesday 10^th June.         

Monday 7^th September – Children start school full-time, 8.50am - 3.20pm (doors open at 8.40am)
